"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called . . . . And he went out, not knowing where he was going. —Hebrews 11:8"
After seeing the daily bread today, I feel that it is true for most people. When we are on our way to follow God's road, we will face a lot of unknown. As we follow Him, there will be darkness in areas we don't know. Sometimes, we would need to make sacrifices that we are unwilling to make. From the examples from the daily bread, would you give up a long awaited promotion chance or resist a long awaited relationship if the God ask you to do so ???
The world is full of unknowns. Unknown country, unknown territory, unknown races, unknown traditions, unknown dangers, and unknown lures. An elderly once told me about that devils will not only be dangerous but beautiful; Not only harmful but full of lures, seduces. Somethings seem beautiful but it is not necessary be good for us.
Sometimes, an elder's advice may sound unreasonable, but it is often what they think is good for us. If your in a dungeon, the candles on the walls beside you will only light up when u go and light them up. The more you light up, the clearer you can see. An elder has walked more path than us in the dungeon, so their paths are more brighter than us. However, our vision is limited and cant learn any experience unless we been through that area. Instead of walking and rushing blindly, why don't we follow and have faith in the one who created the dungeon - God.
Today's statement is "Never be afraid to entrust the unknown future to the all-knowing God."(Our Daily Bread).
Wish you all the best.
